Back to school...back to school...to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool
Well...Summer is over. Well, not officially, just...metaphorically? Rhetorically? Any philosophers out there? School started back this week and I am hard at it again for the next 8 weeks and 1 day (until term 1 holidays - Gotta love those school holidays!) This year I have 2 year 10 classes, 2 year 11 classes and a year 12 Chemistry class. So far so good, the kids all seem like genuinely good kids.
The running routine has started again as well. It's amazing how easily you get out of shape and how hard it is to get back into shape. I'm running a leg in the "Around the Lake relay" next weekend, then perhaps a short triathlon in March, and an off-road run or multisport race in April. That's all for this term. The crummy part of all the races is how much they cost. For example, the multisport race in April costs 115$!!! They expect you to pay that much to kill yourself swimming, biking, and running for 4 hours?!
Anyway, back to school.
