So I've been applying to jobs all over this small-town-country in the middle of nowhere and things have been going pretty well with that. I'd say that I've applied to about 12 or 15 jobs all around the North Island and I've had 3 interviews thus far with 2 more to come. That's almost better than any coop records I've ever set!
So in the last 2 days I've covered a lot of ground. On Monday I flew from ChCh to Wellington, then Wellington to Tauranga, for an interview at Tauranga Boys' College. Then I flew from Tauranga to Auckland and Auckland to ChCh. THEN yesterday I flew from ChCh to Nelson, then Nelson to New Plymouth for an interview at New Plymouth Boys' High School and finally home via the same route. The flight to New Plymouth gave me an excellent view of Mt. Taranaki - it was amazing to see the peak of a mountain so close. On Thursday I have to fly back to Wellington for an interview at Kuranui College and next week I have to get to Wanganui for an interview there too. So much for learning anything at teacher's college eh? Oh well...I don't really want to be there anyway.
Alright...I must go now and get some photocopying done.

Damn. My comments will never top the previous three. We should all have a web site about 'making out kissing'. Hello Tuesday night!!
That's a lot of flights, you paying for them out of pocket? Or do the schools pay to fly you out?

naw...the schools pay for them. that's the good part.

I have just been greatly entertained by the descriptions of your life-altering experiences down-under. I will definitely look for a CW shirt for you. While reading about your new found love for this type of shirt I had a Michael Jackson flashback. Please tell me you don't want a sequined glove! You are sounding more and more like a seasoned teacher - counting the days till break and not wanting to see your students at the local bar. John went to see your parents today. They said you were lamenting about how they weren't coming down to see you. Maybe we could talk them into going next year when you are gainfully employed. I believe they have timeshare there. By the way why aren't we on your e-mail list?
Enjoy or should I say endure your last student days before employment. Bye for now - Theresa
